I am also taking an Ancient History class through University of Alaska just because. Boyfriend kind of thinks it is a waste of money because we have books here and he can teach me stuff, but I need structure to learn. I need to write papers and have assignments. If I just read on my own, I do not absorb it. Besides, it still gives me upper division history credits which I need whether I finish my bachelors in history or even get an Associates in Medical Laboratory Science and minor in history (That is an actual thing). I wanted to be done with a degree in Lab Science quickly since I am half done, but unfortunately, I do not think I can take more than 2 classes at a time and do well right now. Chemistry was rough for me doing it distance learning, and I still have more chemistry classes to do. I cannot do chemistry and something else like microbiology at the same time. I do need to retake Anatomy and Physiology (an entire years worth) so I might do that spring and summer. I am just taking whatever I can while the company pays. My own classes for fun like history are not too expensive since I am resident now. Next year I will actually get the PFD!! This year it is around $2100 a person.
Am I weird for actually looking forward to writing college papers and getting upset that the history paper is only suppose to be 5 pages? My last political science paper was 40 pages single spaced (required to be 25-40 pages). One good thing is my boyfriend has books here for my research and we can discuss ideas and such.
My history book was lost in the mail for a month and i just received it Wednesday. I am trying to catch up on 70 pages this weekend. Crazy mail.
I am pleased to have projects to focus on again.
